A Miami Bungalow Dripping In Mediterranean Charm

Although it was pretty run down, had low ceilings and a small footprint, this Miami bungalow was love at first sight for us. The structure's innate charm, with the elegant bougainvillea growing on its facade, helped us to immediately recognize how beautiful this home could be.

The large scale remodel included adding french doors to the courtyard to open up the once dark front living room. We enlarged the kitchen to take up a majority of the back of the house, adding a dining room to make the space more open. Everything was repainted white, automatically making it feel brighter and more spacious.

Upstairs we added a master suite, including a walk in closet and extending the space to include a double vanity. Luckily, an existing terrace sat off the master, only needing a new door to make everything cohesive. The simple landscaping was achieved by adding pots and furniture to the already lush garden.
